Franceasca’s films, events, productions and art have been featured cover stories within a variety of periodicals, television interviews and websites. She founded LA’s Independent Creatives, an organization bridging the gap between LA’s immense art communities. Seiden consult’s Artists & Collectors and offers Curatorial Assistance to Private Clients & Public Spaces. Her latest project is archiving over 10,000 images dating back to 1899 for a private client. Two out of 5 volumes have been published, the third is in the works.
A little background.
Born and raised in Miami, FL Franceasca Seiden began her career began as a fine art photographer with solo and group exhibitions in Miami, Los Angeles and New York in the early 2000’s. Seiden became an assistant to the curator at a contemporary photography gallery after interning in public relations and marketing department of the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in North Miami. She earned BFA in Photography with a minor in Art History. Seiden began working as a director’s assistant on film sets before going back to receive an MFA in Film Production and Film Theory at Miami International University of Art & Design. Since then Franceasca has made several short films, feature documentaries, she also has written and produced for broadcast television, curated several multi-media events independently and for hire and are a photojournalist to various publications. In 2005 she co‐founded 3GZ Productions, an indie film and multimedia event company producing and distributes original content for films and exhibitions with Venezuelan born director & editor, Iris B. Cegarra. Franceasca and Iris produced, directed, wrote & edited short films, music videos, commercials eventually becoming Miami’s most talked about female filmmakers with their international hit and award‐winning documentary Darkbeat, an Electro World Voyage. Darkbeat focuses on the beginning of the electro music scene from its origins of Kraftwerk and Afrika Bambaata to newer acts like Cybotron. It also is an educational informative documentary covering the evolution of equipment producers, artists and promoters from a global perspective. Franceasca’s short films Wicked Garden and Out of Sync were selected for various film festivals. Seiden curated a "Women in Film Night" and an "Experimental Film & Video" at The Miami Beach Cinematheque as well as the "3GZ & AV8 Ultra Video Lounge", at Ultra Music Festival during the largest electronic music gathering, Winter Music Conference. Seiden moved to Los Angeles in 2008 and immediately began writing and producing in television for the Emmy winning FOX affiliate, FX Networks, before moving to former Vice President, Al Gore’s cable channel, Current TV. She founded LA's Independent Creatives, to bridge a gap between The Los Angeles Street Art Movement and Fine Art galleries. Seiden serves as a consultant for several artists as well as international collectors while offering curatorial assistance to private clients & public spaces. LAICREATIVES represents a select few multimedia artists managing their "artist" brands and marketing packages. LA's Independent Creatives also acts as an online magazine with featured interviews from LA’s premiere visual artists, news on exhibitions, live music and LA’s underground culture. Franceasca teamed up with her childhood friend and actress, Marieh Delfino to form their production company, A Play Date Productions. Together they have penned several original scripted television comedies and feature films, generating buzz in the entertainment community. Their latest project, About a Girl is a unique coming of age story set in Miami in the mid-nineties. Franceasca’s passion for film, music and art continues to fuel her as photojournalist, filmmaker and art curator. Seiden consults various artist, filmmakers and develops branding| marketing strategies for start-ups. She currently resides in Los Angeles, California with strong ties to her Miami roots.
